During my recent Xmas stay at a hotel, I appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the beautiful views from the room. The location was also convenient, with several shops and restaurants nearby. The room was cozy, and I enjoyed using the provided amenities.
My experience was marred by the fact that the hotel asked for a $100 guarantee at check-in, even though I had already paid in full. Despite their assurances that the payment would be cancelled upon check-out, and that my card wouldn't be charged, they still charged my account.
